Eligible equipment and reward amounts:

Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs)

ENERGY STAR qualified CFLs use about 66 percent less energy than standard incandescent bulbs and last 10 times longer. That's more than 6,000 hours of usage from a CFL, as opposed to around 600 hours for an incandescent bulb.

Ceiling fans

Did you know that something as simple as an energy-efficient ceiling fan with CFL bulbs can trim $15-25 dollars per year from your utility bill?

With improved motor and blade designs, today's energy-efficient ENERGY STAR rated ceiling fans move air up to 20 percent more efficiently than standard ceiling fans. In addition, the lighting is efficient and long-lasting, so you won't have to make frequent bulb changes.

Before making your purchase, make sure to select fan(s) that fit your space. To determine which size you need, measure the room where the ceiling fan will be installed and follow these guidelines:

ENERGY STAR rated ceiling fans with attached pin-type lighting

$20 per ceiling fan (maximum of five)

Notes:

  • Maximum reward is 50 percent of total equipment cost.
  • Ceiling fans must include pin-type lighting.
  • Separate light kits do not qualify.
  • ENERGY STAR logo must be cut from CFL package and accompany claim form.
