Grants & Scholarships

The Alliant Energy Foundation supports organizations that seek to educate, inform and advance environmental issues that have the potential to impact our communities, such as:

• Organizations that encourage education about conservation and wise land, water and air use; and
• Programs and activities aimed at advancing specific environmental initiatives, including tree planting, renewable energy or recycling.

Recent grant recipients included the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, the Nature Conservancy, Trees Forever, the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, the International Crane Foundation and the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education.

On a corporate level, Alliant Energy partners with Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa, to fund a scholarship for the school's innovative new Wind Energy and Turbine Technology Program.
